Recruitment Overview
Target: “Pure” foreign nationals whose both parents are foreign nationals and who have completed / will complete a 12‑year high school curriculum (or equivalent)
Recruitment period: First intake for the 2026 academic year (process conducted between fall 2025 and early 2026)

Length of study: generally 2 years, 3 years for the Department of Computer Engineering

Admission Requirements and Language Criteria
Nationality requirements
The father, mother, and applicant must all have held only foreign nationality since birth, or must have renounced Korean nationality and then acquired foreign nationality
Individuals with dual nationality are regarded only as nationals of the Republic of Korea
Academic requirements
Completion / expected completion of a regular 12‑year school curriculum (including high school)
Countries with an 11‑year system: high school is recognized if the full primary and secondary curriculum is completed + the last 3 years are completed at upper‑secondary level
Only schools recognized under the relevant country’s law are accepted; language institute courses are excluded
Korean language requirements
Any one of the following: TOPIK level 3 or higher, KIIP level 3 or higher, pre‑evaluation score of 61 or higher, Sejong Institute Intermediate 1 or higher
For applicants below TOPIK level 3 (TOPIK 2, internal test level 2, etc.), it is mandatory to complete 300 hours of Korean during the first year after admission (120 hours if TOPIK 3 is obtained during the first semester)
English language requirements (English‑taught track)
TOEFL iBT 71 / CBT 197 / PBT 530, IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, TEPS 601 (NEW 327) or higher
Chinese‑taught track: no official language score is required at admission, but applicants without Korean proficiency must complete the mandatory Korean language course described above

Basic documents
Completed application package (application form, study plan, consent to collection and use of personal data, guarantor’s pledge, financial responsibility and funding plan, consent to degree verification) – university form

Certificate of (expected) high school graduation, full high school transcript
Certification method (choose one according to nationality): consular legalization, apostille, report issued by the China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center (or equivalent Chinese credential verification agency)
Nationality & family documents
Copies of passports / IDs of the applicant and parents
Certificate of family relationship (for Chinese nationality: household register of all family members, plus an additional certificate of family relationship if separated)
Financial documents
Bank balance certificate in the applicant’s name of at least KRW 20,000,000 (issued within 30 days)
Parents’ certificates of employment and income (for applicants residing in their home country)
Others
3 passport‑sized photos, Korean / English language proficiency certificates, certificates and transcripts of language courses (if applicable), copy of Alien Registration Card (for residents in Korea), certificate of entry and exit records (for those who completed all schooling abroad)
General notes
Most documents must be issued within 3 months before the application deadline (some family documents within 1 year)
Original documents must in principle be submitted; sworn translation into Korean is mandatory for documents in foreign languages
In case of a name discrepancy, submit a certificate proving it is the same person; if such a document is missing, the applicant will be excluded from selection; admission may be revoked in case of forgery or alteration
Schedule and Selection Exams
Selection categories
Korean‑taught track: 1st round (September), 2nd round (October–November, held in parallel with the 1st round of the English‑taught track), 3rd round (December), 4th round (January–February of the following year)
Chinese‑taught track: 1st round (in parallel with the 3rd round of the Korean‑taught track), 2nd round (in parallel with the 4th round of the Korean‑taught track)
Common procedure: submission of application and documents → interview and internal tests (including internal TOPIK) → announcement of results → payment of tuition fees
Standard Letter of Admission (Certificate of Admission): can be issued within 7 days after payment of the admission fee

Application and test fees
Application fee: KRW 30,000 (per department)
Internal TOPIK test fee: KRW 10,000 (only for test applicants)
Tuition (reference: September 2025, subject to change)
KRW 3,267,000: Hospitality & Tourism College (Hotel Management, Tourism & Leisure), all majors in the Management Department, Department of Taxation & Accounting, Department of Police Administration, Department of Global Welfare & Care
KRW 3,727,000: Department of Hotel Culinary Arts and Food Service, Department of Beauty Care, Department of Media Styling, Department of Fashion & Jewelry Design, Department of Video Media Contents, Department of Computer Engineering, Department of AI Convergence, Department of Food Care
Dormitory
Double room for 4 months: KRW 1,200,000
New students who do not have proof of residence in Korea are encouraged to stay in the dormitory
Scholarships (for international students)
Priority 30% tuition fee reduction
Enrollment incentive grant of KRW 500,000 (reference: 2025 academic year, subject to change)
Instructions for Applicants and Submission Address
Submission method: in person or by post only; documents must in principle be originals
In case of any change in contact information, immediately notify the Institute of International Exchange; any disadvantage arising from failure to do so is the applicant’s responsibility
If a visa is refused or cannot be obtained / converted, admission will be cancelled and the full tuition fee will be refunded (upon submission of supporting documents)
If registration is not completed during the tuition payment period after admission, the applicant is deemed not to have enrolled; admission will be cancelled in case of double enrollment in two or more universities
None of the submitted documents will be returned; selection scores and evaluation details will not be disclosed
Depending on the interview and internal test results, an applicant may be rejected if deemed not sufficiently capable of pursuing the program
Applicants residing overseas must submit an official language certificate; internal tests organized by the Institute are only for applicants residing in Korea
